Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the holiday season and are ready for another exciting year ahead. We find that many people make resolutions or goals during this time of year, often with a focus on their financial lives. At my agency, we are here to help you protect your assets, recover from the unexpected, and prepare for the future.

One of my main goals as an agent is that my team and I help you simplify the complex. We have years of experience and training behind us to help you figure out what you need, understand your options, and make selections that are good choices for you and your business or family.

My team and I have had the privilege of working with countless individuals, families, and business owners. We are committed to treating each and every person with transparency, respect, and compassion. We are equally passionate about providing information that is helpful, honest, and useful.

Our agency is based in Richmond, VA and we provide resources to local residents, as well as those living in the surrounding areas of Henrico, Glen Allen, and Chesterfield. Licensed to service the entire state of Virginia, my State Farm office offers:

● Auto Insurance

● Homeowners & Renters Insurance

● Health Insurance

● Life Insurance

● Small Business Insurance

● And more!

Although I have been a State Farm Agent for the last fourteen years, I’ll tell you a little bit about my story to explain how I came to be in this place and build such a strong team around me.

Unlike most of the other kids, when I was younger, I liked to play office. I would sit at my grandfather’s big desk and pretend to call people, have entire imaginary conversations with them, and write receipts. Sometimes I would even pretend to do accounting and write checks. Mostly, I wanted to help people- although it would take me a while for me to how to do that most effectively.

Meanwhile, I received both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Georgia and spent most of my early career in the non-profit sector. Over the years, I worked with many people with significant assets. Every single one of them had at least one risk advisor they worked with, if not several.

My own father had the same State Farm agent for over 40 years, helping him through all kinds of different scenarios. That is the kind of relationship I want to have with my customers.

Based on my experience working in a State Farm office years before, I knew that State Farm would give me the training and resources to help anyone, in any financial situation. Along the way, I earned the Retired Income Certified Professional designation. I finally found a way to practically help people, while participating in the greater fabric of our community.

Paying it forward is an important thing to both me and my team. We do that by being trusted partners for our customers, as well as our community. Our customers appreciate the professionalism and knowledge of my team. I look for people who are kind, smart, and quick thinking. It is a joy to work with Rebekah, Michael, and Peyton every day, and we have a lot of fun both in and out of the office.

We are also active community volunteers. In recent years, we have supported projects put forward by the Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth, Skipwith Elementary School, the Junior League of Richmond, Feed More, Habitat for Humanity, and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Richmond Chapter.

Personally, I have been a gubernatorial appointee four times, including stints as the chair of the Virginia Fair Housing Board and chair of the Legislative and Regulatory committee of the Virginia Board of Dentistry. For the prior three years, I was the chair of the State Farm Federal PAC for Virginia and currently serve as the president of my condo association board.

All these activities help us understand what matters to people and how to assist them in realizing their goals. We want to help you live a wonderful life with less worry and stress. Call us today to arrange a conversation!
